Now I have cleared out the room with the consoles in it, and updated them I am having another go with no mans sky on the series X. Now I have figured out that I screwed up by going back to Euclid as soon as I had gone thru the center of the universe without making a base and found the work around I am not building another one in the second galaxy.

PS5 has still only run astros playroom and youtube in comparison because no gamepass equivilent and none of the PS plus games interest me yet.

And the PC is even worse in need of a reinstall that I dont want to do. Audio is unusable on it now and the mouse jumps all over the place. Will just get a new one once some cash comes thru

JPNZ:

I'm all over the show.. I hardly ever finish a game for whatever reasons

Wreckfest - Free this month PS Plus

2K21 PGA Tour

Days Gone - Free last month

Crash Bandicoot Triology - Reliving my youth haha

FF7 remake - Waiting on the free Intergrade 10/06/21

Finished Wreckfest Single Player Campaign

Finished 2K21 Golf single player

Days Gone - Play occasionaly

I'm struggling with the FF7 remake, its so cinematic with soooo many cutscenes (just let me play). Really makes me want to dig out the PSX version instead

I've been playing Ghost of Tsuchima - Directors cut for the first time on the PS5. What an amazing game! Only put in a few hours on it but I'm already hooked.

As well as a bit of car racing (I wont call it sim racing, as anything on a console seems to fall under gaming not sim racing apparently), I've been back on with Cities Skylines.   Just trying to get expansion happening, and keeping transport options from choking the city.

Did you have Ghost of Tsushima PS4 on Disc beforehand? I do, and I'm unsure how to upgrade to the PS5 Director's Cut

You probably still need the disc in the drive to validate ownership.  Then get the PS4 Director's Cut upgrade from the store, which is about $30.  And then get the PS5 upgrade itself which is about $15.

No, I bought the PS5 version when it came out just recently. Such a good game, and the load times on the PS5 are astoundingly quick. Makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

Doing Quake Remastered on Nightmare on PS5 because I'm a masochist. Sure I could play on PC with my trusty M/KB where I already own a copy but I'm not some namby pamby PC master race'er, I enjoy a challenge I like trying new and difficult things.

I was playing RDR2, but now the Rockstar Launcher keeps starting with "Offline Mode: Could not establish a connection", and the game wont start in offline mode. Happened overnight.

Interestingly enough, I can't access the Rockstar Social Club online either - connection via browser keeps timing out. Reached out to their online chat (can get to that part of their website) but they were less than useful - "Disable your antivirus and windows firewall, change your DNS to google and try again. When that didn't make a difference, suggestion was to download the Rockstar launcher again - Dude, I can't access Social Club!

I guess this technically doesn't belong in this thread - I'm not actually playing the game 😠

I had forgotten just how punishing Quake can be!  Especially if you forget to save after a hard bit!

I am stuck on the last bit of the last mission on Desperados 3. When I figure it out, I'll be sad to say goodbye to it.

Oh, I see a season pass with 3 new missions is available. Wicked.

Horizon : Forbidden West delayed to Feb 18, 2022.

BUT Horizon Zero Dawn, now has a 60FPS mode, free of charge in case anyone cares.

I found NMS to be a baffling game that seemed to have no discernible point...! In the end I got bored and moved on.

Does anyone have a suggestion for my wife, who has been very much enjoying Ori 1 and 2? She can't play FPS style games and even ratchet and clank games as the rotation of the screen make her dizzy but has always enjoyed side-scrolling platformers etc...

Have you tried overcooked 2? My wife and I started playing it tonight. Fun casual co-op game.

I'm approaching the end of D3 too. What a devilishly difficult but addictive game this is - extremely well thought-out by the devs. Once I finish the main story, I still have all the Baron's Challenges to do (don't know much about these).

When I was researching D3 I saw references to a 2017 game developed by Mimimi, who did D3, called Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, set in 1600's Japan. It's a forerunner of D3 and looks very similar. I found it on sale on the PS Store for $8 so bought it. If I'm not sick of the genre after I finish D3, it's there ready to be played. Also available on XBox and PC.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
