I am stuck on the last bit of the last mission on Desperados 3. When I figure it out, I'll be sad to say goodbye to it.

Oh, I see a season pass with 3 new missions is available. Wicked.

I'm approaching the end of D3 too. What a devilishly difficult but addictive game this is - extremely well thought-out by the devs. Once I finish the main story, I still have all the Baron's Challenges to do (don't know much about these).

When I was researching D3 I saw references to a 2017 game developed by Mimimi, who did D3, called Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, set in 1600's Japan. It's a forerunner of D3 and looks very similar. I found it on sale on the PS Store for $8 so bought it. If I'm not sick of the genre after I finish D3, it's there ready to be played. Also available on XBox and PC.

There are 3 expansions for d3 which are part of an annual pass for $22

Does anyone have a suggestion for my wife, who has been very much enjoying Ori 1 and 2? She can't play FPS style games and even ratchet and clank games as the rotation of the screen make her dizzy but has always enjoyed side-scrolling platformers etc...

Have you tried overcooked 2? My wife and I started playing it tonight. Fun casual co-op game.

I haven't tried it, but I have heard of it, and saw a review recently. A friend and his wife played it together, and they spent 3 night sleeping apart after it caused major conflict between them which apparently isn't uncommon. :)

I think we will try Hollow Knight and there is another one I played recently called Inside.

If you aren't good at communicating and get frustrated with each other then it wouldn't be good. We like doing stuff and problem solving together so we're enjoying it.

Maybe we will try it after lockdown :)

Being in lockdown isn't much fun, but being locked OUT whilst in lockdown, certainly doesn't appeal :)

I watched some far cry 6 footage and was struck by how gruesome and brutal and visceral the violence is in it. Graphically cutting someones throat with a machette for example as the primary melee attack. It feels like they are heading in a pretty bad direction in some of these mainstream games. I have been looking forward to it but less so now.

At least it would be quiet.

I got about 60 hours into Valhalla before deciding I need a break. I suspect I'm about 2/3 through the main campaign. Looks amazing on my PC but I decided to jump back into Cyberpunk last night for a look. I'm back into it in a big way now. Might be a while before I'm back to Valhalla now!

I’m very keen to play Cyberpunk but am waiting for the full and proper ‘next-gen’ update to be released before getting it for PS5.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

It's worth the wait if PC graphics and performance are representative of what's to come on PS5.  I'm glad I waited a while for some patches too, the first time I played when it came out it was NOT this enjoyable.  Lots of random issues.  Subtitles would stay on the screen after someone spoke, even if subs were not enabled, and so on :)

I only played for an hour, wasn't really 'feeling' it, which is normal only an hour in, and then the internet blew up with all the issues and I stopped, because I didn't want to spoil what I hoped would eventually would be a good game.

I am torn. I still have lots of games to play (I haven't even played more than 30 minutes of Miles Morales).

For me it's not even that, I just want it to be patched up to where it should have been at release. PC or PS5 I'm just waiting for it be fixed.

Meanwhile Quake is just hard on PS5. Take for granted how much I'm used to a M/KB with these games but I'm getting there. Analogue stick movement feels very cludgy compared to a binary keyboard movement input. I feel like the d-pad would be better for movement in this.

On to Episode 4 in Nightmare though from what I've seen of the new Dimension of the Machine, I am not looking forward to what they throw at you; double shambler closet knife fights seem the norm as well as liberal placements of vores.

Certainly - I didn't actually say that part but really is more important to me too. No sense bringing stellar graphics if the game is still buggy and glitchy.

So, lots of games announced or confirmed during the Playstation event today.

@gehenna you'll be pretty happy to see a new God of War Game. I was excited to see a new Spiderman game.
