gehenna: Correct, you have access as long as you have a paid account.

Thanks, but I can’t get games from earlier (for example September, can I), if I only start the subscription in October?

Yes that's also correct, much to my sadness. I've been wanting to play wreckfest for a long time, have had ps plus subscription for years, got a ps5 as a birthday present and found out wreckfest was a free game a month or two before hand lol.

Oh and you don't have to download the game to keep it forever, you just need to add it to your library. It Can be downloaded anytime as long as you have ps plus subscription.

Nice, wasn’t aware of just having to add it to the library.
Zero reason for not adding all of them, even if you don’t like them (you might have friends visiting one day, who happens to like one of the games).

That's exactly what I've been thinking the past few years, and have amassed hundreds of games. Of which I've only ever played a few lol. But still, why not haha

I’ve been telling friends with PS4s to add the PS5 titles to their library since it was released. Did they listen, no.

One of them is now picking up a PS5 next week and could have had a nice backlog of games to get started on.

danepak: I’ve just signed up for PS Plus on my PS5.
Looks like great value.

Can someone please confirm if this is correct?

If I download a game which is released in October, I can delete it and get access to it again, at some stage in the future if I wish (as long as I’m a PS Plus subscriber)?
If I don’t download one of the October games, they’ll be lost forever?

If point 1 is the case, you might as well download the game, even if you don’t like it, as you can retrieve it at any stage in the future and in the meantime it doesn’t take up any storage.

You should also have the PS Plus collection with PS5 as well. (I did with PS plus when I got my PS5) Thats a collection of 15 top PS4 games you can download and play for free.

Mate of mine has leant me Sackboy, which the kids enjoy playing.
I however need to return the disc soon.

Question:
If I purchase the disc (or digital) version, will the PS5 remember the saved game data or do they have to start all over?

Probably should qualify that - it'll remember as long as the saves exist on your device, or as long as they're synced with your PS account, but if they're gone from either of those then the game will just think it's a fresh install.

It's compatible.  I ordered one the other day as neither of the M.2's I had around at home were Gen4 Best PS5 SSDs: Which M.2 SSDs are compatible? - The Verge

You'll need the heatsink.  I got this one: Buy the EKWB EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink - Black ( EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink - Black ) online - PBTech.co.nz except mine is red so it'll make it go faster.

Comes with a thermal pad, it was a bit fiddly to install the clips but you'll get there.

Just don't do what one of the YouTube muppets suggests and leave the M.2 bay open to get more air over the fins.  It needs to be sealed again to help with the negative pressure for ventilation.

I'm trying to install the EK-M2 heatsink to the PNY drive and I'm having major issues with the clips. How did you do it? Any youtube videos you would recommend to follow as this is starting to piss me off hahaha. Don't want to put too much pressure on and break something.

When you say synced with my PS account, will it then work, if I use the cloud storage on PS Plus (as long as I keep subscribing to it)?

I just didn't use the bottom metal plate, I clipped the heatsink directly to the M.2 board.  With the first SSD I tried it fit fine, with the PNY one I needed to skip the metal plate, which has made no material difference to its operation.

When the save files are stored locally on the Playstation, a removed game will find them when it is reinstalled.  If the files don't exist on the Playstation, but you have Cloud Saves enabled, a removed game will find them when it's reinstalled and launched (you'll get the "syncing" popup when it's looking for them.

Kids loves the game Sackboy on PS5 (I’ve got to admit that I’m pretty impressed with it to - amazing graphics, music and gameplay.

A friend lent me the disc version and I’ve decided to buy it for them.
Game Cards sells the digital version for $53.

Question: How does it work, if you buy a digital version of a game outside of the official PS platform?
Does it still appear in my games library? Do I need to supply Game Cards with my PS username for it to be linked?

(…also, if someone has the disc version and wants to sell it for a good price, please let me know)
