And while you’re at it Dad, can you please show us how to actually embed it? 😉

It's done the same way you quote but with the youtube and /youtube tags instead. You can see it above the editor in the last line in the yellow box. You enter only the youtube code at the end not the entire URL..

Thanks mate, will give it a go next time.

razor2000nz:

Does any know if you can transfer the game save data from a PS4 game to a PS5 version on the game? I've done the data transfer when setting up but when i play the PS5 version of the game it opens as "new" game, ie no continuation of progress made on PS4.

If i open the PS4 version of the game (on the PS5), previous preogress is there. I've had a google but can't seem to find the answer to this question.

You can't. This is a stupid limitation/implementation by Sony. Games can implement their own version to transfer if they want but versions are isolated to their console implementation. Death Stranding on PS4 was patched to add something in to allow the save to be transferred to the newer PS5 only version.

I found this out with Quake. I played through it on PS5 as a PS4 app, and when they released the PS5 version the save data didn't come across. Same version data will happily work across different consoles versions though. PS4 Quake save on PS5 works happily on native PS4 hardware.

This is something I believe MS is managing way better on the Xbox side and they don't have locked versions.

danepak: The Matrix game looks unbelievable.
I thought it was a trailer at first.

Actual gameplay from 11:00.

This is next gen stuff.

(Sorry, don’t know how to make it a hyperlink - tried, but must be something wrong)

Yet all I can think of is whether GTA 6 will look like this.

I want to purchase 2TB storage for my PS5.
Anything I should look out for / avoid?
I don’t want to spend the $$$ on m2 storage.
I’ve seen 2TB external hard drives ranging from $60 - $120.
Are they all the same or should I look out for a min. writing/reading speed, as it’s for games?
(I know that additional storage only works for PS4 games on the PS5).

Would this work?

Actually, looking at this one, which looks like it’s made for gaming.
Is it just marketing BS? The speed of up to 140 mb/s.

But then looking at this one, where does it mention a speed?

Here it says 5 GBit/second. That’s significantly faster than 140 mb/s, right or have I completely misunderstood something?

@danepak With so much information on the internet on this particular subject a quick Google search away I am honestly not even sure why you're asking here. Please do some quick research first: https://www.google.com/search?q=Playstation+5+SSD+Requirements

You need a decent NVMe SSD and heatsink for any PS5 games. For PS4 games any external SSD is fine.

My apologies. I actually thought the NVMe only was fine for PS4 as well. OK, learn something new every day.
I guess my reason for asking here is that the Geekzone community is bloody good and knowledgeable.

This page literally has everything you need to know regarding external USB storage: https://www.playstation.com/en-nz/support/hardware/ps5-extended-storage/

Don't get the el-cheapo no-name SSD because I fully bet it is a scam given it is too cheap (fake USB flash drive scam), instead get a name brand external SSD within the requirements of the PS5 external storage page above.

Given the recent discussion above, thought I'd post this article I saw today on options for internal storage. Sure, it's all in US but still helpful i think:

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I had a weird thing happen on my PS5 yesterday. Obviously on the home bar you can only hold so many games and with a few new PS plus games (Dirt 5 etc) out now I downloaded them. One of my older games 2K21 Golf club dropped off the list. Fine I thought I'll just go into the media library and find it to play.

Once I found it, it was uninstalled somehow. I clicked on it and re-downloaded the game. I thought that was strange as I last played it on 16th December (its a digital copy from PS store) anyone else come across something similar?

That looks awesome.  A SSD with a "Hard disk speed of 3600RPM"...
