danepak: I want to purchase 2TB storage for my PS5.
Anything I should look out for / avoid?
I don’t want to spend the $$$ on m2 storage.
I’ve seen 2TB external hard drives ranging from $60 - $120.
Are they all the same or should I look out for a min. writing/reading speed, as it’s for games?
(I know that additional storage only works for PS4 games on the PS5).

Would this work?

That looks awesome.  A SSD with a "Hard disk speed of 3600RPM"...

LOL, just noticed. That is indeed slow.

It should be 0.  SSD's don't spin.

That entire shop looks like a scam/drop-shipping/rip-off outfit.

Folks over in Aus are able to preorder the PS5 version of GTA V for AU$14.99 (through the console accessed store only). There might be a similar offer in the NZ Store.

Link?

I can only find the PS4 version actually, I assume it's a 'free' upgrade to PS5 from there or I need to find the PS5 specific version?

GTA V PS5 version (including story and online) - So you're basically paying $17 or so for the story.

OzBargain deal

edit - this quote refers to the AU store but might be similar for NZ: to find the pre-order,
"have to go to store, scroll down to preorders, scroll all the way to the right to View All… And then sort by Coming out soonest… And then it's like the 4th one".

Just seen GTAV online is seperate to the story game, and free for PS5 owners between March and June

Offer available from March 15, 2022 until June 14, 2022. Download from PS5 console store. PlayStation Plus required to play (recurring fees apply).

Yeah, you can't buy it from the web store which is odd.

I managed to pre-order GTAV for PS5 for $17.49 - but had to do it on my console and was a bit fiddly finding it

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

Hi! Has anyone had any problems with their PS5 not turning on?

Unfortunately, my PS5 is out of the standard 1 year warranty.

When I press the ON/OFF switch, it makes one beep and does nothing else.

Does this mean the power supply needs changing?

Should I contact Playstation Support or some other tech company to repair the PS5?

Looking forward to your replies 🙂

Richard

Possibly but I can’t tell because I can’t get any audio on that clip - so I can’t understand what is trying to be explained.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
