Is anyone on this? It seems pretty great value if the games are half decent.

I'd be interested in feedback, especially as I'm on a PC gaming kick at the moment.

Yup. I got it when you could upgrade the old xbox games pass (or whatever it was - actually xbox gold I think?) for $1 for the remainder of your term, so got the xbox GP, xbox gold and PC for like 3 months for cheap.  Was pretty good - will probably sub again at some point.

Cheapies and OzBargain are good places to go to if you want to read about getting XBOX Game Pass at a better price.

Hell yeah, that was an awesome deal. My Game Pass Ultimate doesn't run out until April 2022 and has already paid for itself.

I think so, even if you just try out the 3 months for $1 deal if they are still running that.

Microsoft Flight Simulator for a start, plus if you have been out of the game ('hyuck) for a while, the back catalog is pretty strong. Halo Master Chief collection, Gears of War, Forza Horizon, No Man's Sky. Also hoping Wasteland 3 will make an appearance at some point.

Sadly I don't think they are.  I think I actually bought a 6 month pass then upgraded it for $1 cause it only just ran out - TBH though the current $1 for the first month then half price for 6 months deal for the PC only game pass is pretty bloody good too.  I actually let it roll over for a couple of months at full price because there were games I wanted to finish up.  Would have let it keep rolling over if I had more time for gaming - I reckon a games pass is way better value than most streaming video platform deals, so much more entertainment bang for buck (if you're a gamer lol)

Yeah, that's not a bad deal really. Certainly good enough to try it out, and see if you will make use of it. Like most streaming services nowadays, once the deal is up, just cancel if nothing appeals and re-join when something else comes along.

Here's all the current PC games on it.

I've been on PC Game Pass since it was launch and was initially on the $1 a month deal. New games are added regularly, and you only need to play one to get your moneys worth.

I've seen the try for $1 deal is still available. $1 for the first month, then $4.99 a month for a limited time. Normally $9.99 a month. All US$.

NZ pricing actually looks marginally better at $6.95 a month. I think I'll give it a try, if it's not worth it it's an easy cancel :)

Honestly it's cheap enough that I wouldn't waste my time.

I've got it, though right now, flight sim is free and because it's stupidly buggy I can't play it. :(

Especially when all they have is the same deal listed on the Microsoft product page.

Fair call. To be honest it was a copy and paste job. The ozbargainers love cutting corners for a deal and so I thought it must've been decent.

Didn't see that $6.95 a month either. Can't complain with that price. Might be time to upgrade this GTX 1060 card so I can play some of those titles. Though I've still yet to play all the freebies I got through Epic Games / Humble.

I used the one I found on HotUKDeals, when I did it it was about $150 for 3 years of gamepass ultimate but it fluctuates a bit in price.

https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/3-years-xbox-game-pass-ultimate-for-ps73-3525974

If you purchase Xbox live gold and then get gamepass ultimate whatevers left to run upgrades for free. Their money saving tip is buy Brazilian Xbox live codes at around $50 a year from cdkeys and use a VPN to redeem them, stack them up then convert it.

The only downside on the pc version is it forces the windows store downloader. Other than that it's great value especially for $150 for 3 years. Only trouble I have is getting to the games before they come off the service, it does however make me want to push on through a game fast and play it more just in case it gets pulled.

Hmm, that's essentially what I did to get 6 months (I think) for like $40 or something (for xbox GP, PC GP and xbox live gold) but are you sure it still works?

I just jumped on the $1 game pass deal too..

Worth mentioning that EA Play (formerly Origin Access) is pretty damn good too, and about to be even better now that EA are coming back to Steam and EA Play will be on Steam at the end of the month.

I've been on Origin Access Basic for a couple of years now, it's $40/year if you pay annually, and you get a huge back catalog, and if you want more there is a premium version that's about $100/year that gives you the latest and greatest.
