Can someone with the PC version of COD:MW2 tell me what the story is with LAN play in it ?
Is there proper LAN play options ? Do you have to be on the net just to play LAN games ?

TIA :)

its like a continuation from the 1st one, in some of the levels your commander is the previous guy you played in cod 4.

http://gamerlimit.com/2009/05/modern-warfare-2-story-details-emerge-from-game-informer/

that basically sumarises it, there's a full review of the game on the telegraph website aswell.

LAN play is through IWNet/Steamworks, you can do offline mode....but you can't use the same licence on each PC(makes sense really, through EULA agreement) unlike COD4 where you could just swap the discs between PCs

A lot of people are raging about it now. but if you look at the game, it's amazing, really great development, plot etc. Looks like some serious effort has gone into it. It's just a shame that IW have promoted it more on XBox360/PS3 over the PC due to piracy issues :(

It's a shame us good folk miss out through other bad folks hacking and cracking good games

Long as there some form of LAN play available that dosent require internet connectivity, Ill be happy :)

But I might be changing my upgrade plans now after some thought and might just buy a PS3 instead with MW2.... guess Ill see after Xmas.

Be nice if could play PS3 vs PC users.........

Yeah definitely :)

I've bought mine on PS3 in the end, accidentally bought two copies(got the warehouse to price match and beat the cheapest price by $2, then was too late to cancel my internet order)

Also Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta is coming out on PS3, multiplayer beta i think, that should be worth it till that hits in March 2010
