Just preordered this on steam, beta starts in less than a week! Stoked!

Anyone else getting it? Its a good price on steam $49usd which works out to be $70nz, its $89 at mightyape. Plus buying it on steam you get access to the beta which you dont get when buying it through Mightyape etc.

For anyone that has been in a cave they should check out some of the vids below, pretty badass, and i can see it taking down Modern warfare 2.

Battlefield Bad Company™ 2
brings the spectacular Battlefield gameplay to the forefront of next-gen consoles and PC - featuring best-in-class vehicular combat set across a wide range of huge sandbox maps each with a different tactical focus.

New vehicles like the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and the UH-60 transport helicopter allow for all-new multiplayer tactics in the warzone, extensive fine-tuning ensures that this will be the most realistic vehicle combat experience to date.

Tactical destruction is taken to new heights with the updated DICE ‘Frostbite’ engine. Players can now take down entire buildings or create their own vantage points by blasting holes through cover, thereby delivering a unique dynamic experience in every match.

Players can also compete in 4-player teams in 2 exclusive squad-only game modes, fighting together to unlock exclusive team awards and achievements. Spawn on your squad to get straight into the action, and use gadgets such as the tracer dart in-conjunction with the RPG to devastating effect.

Excellence in the battlefield is rewarded with an extensive range of pins, insignias and stars to unlock along with 50 dedicated ranks to achieve.

Variety also extends into the range of customizable kits weapons and vehicles available. With 4 distinct character classes, and weapons, gadgets and specializations players have over 15000 kit variations to discover and master players will be able to fine-tune their preferred fighting style to give them the edge in combat.

All of these features combine to deliver spectacular and unpredictable action moments found nowhere else in a modern warfare experience.

The game also sees the return of the B Company squad in a more mature and intense single player experience where the stakes are higher than ever.

I'll be getting it for PS3, almost clocked MW2 now, 88% Spec ops, 90% campaigh, 86% multiplayer, just a few more hours and it'll be done.

really enjoyed the other Battlefields with the destructable environments, just hope they fix up some of the glitches from the original bad company

I thought the original Battlefield: BC was a let down, but this one looks much better.

I had the original BC aswell. I have my reservations about this one. It's very different to MW2 which I love. I guess the great thing about BC is the large map areas and the vehicles.

gamerhub.co.nz (hosted at iconz) will have beta servers and going by the fact GP and clearnetdeluxe are handing out beta keys I would guess they will have servers as well.

What did people think?? I thought the beta was good, have played somewhere around 30 hours of the beta which is pretty good considering its one map! Have given the game a fair amount of abuse though, way too many crashes to desktop, disconnecting from the game etc.
However apart from that ive really enjoyed myself and cant wait for the full release.
Any Geekzoners been playing on gamerhub or gamearena?

I've been playing on Gamerhub quite a bit in the last week and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

I was completely let down by MW2 though, so I guess this is just more my cup of tea.
