Note the terms of service agreement. I can't confirm if this has changed from previous versions.

"We exclude all liability for loss of data or unauthorised access to your data, Sony Online Network account or Sony Online Network wallet and for damage caused to your software or hardware as a result of using or accessing Sony Online Network. You are responsible for your Internet Service Provider fees and any other fees related to your use of Sony Online Network, including any increase in such fees resulting from your use of Sony Online Network."

I love those exclusions. for ages I have wanted a t-shirt that says ' the wearer accepts no responsibility for damage or loss of property'.

I guess they are not the only game in .

Didn't anybody tell you I was a hacker?

BACK!
After a password change I was able to log on. The PSN store is still down though. A quick fire up of Warhawk and all seems go!

No.  You get them when the store comes back, and they're saying that will be a while yet.

It is still down for me.  Perhaps due to heavy traffic.

Same here. Still says
Playstation®Network is currently undergoing maintenance.

All I am doing is trying to sign in using the Playstation Network --> Sign In button with the password that has always been there before the security breach.
Is there something different that other people have been doing to enable sign-in/password change?

Same. Firmware updated, trying to sign in old password and getting maintenance message. It's not coming up with any password change options.

All I did was manually go to the sign in bit and click sign in, then it popped up with a password change screen, then after I put in new password it takes you home then I just went to the sign in screen and bam away she went.

I think some people have been lucky enough to get in before the "mad rush" of people trying to do the same thing.
It seems the Sony servers are just not handling the sheer amount of requests at the moment.
Oh well. All in good time.
