I'm sure ON3 will come to the party (right?). Bit of a joke buying MOH, just to get the privilege of playing 2 days earlier.

Looking forward to this anyway, getting a bit tired of replaying the Caspian Border video every day.

I have looked at hosting some servers but can't for BF3, there are NO DEDICATED SERVERS ie you can't run your own. EA choose "partner" game service providers who you can then rent servers from. I'm doubting there are any in NZ as even internode were having trouble becoming one last I heard. Seriously stupid as I don't mind paying for servers/bandwidth to subsidize EA's game but for them to force me to use their "partner" organizations so they can make a cut again....

TBH I'm almost thinking of cancelling my preorder

ON3 are New Zealand EA partners. They will be hosting beta and the final servers (as they have done with Bad company 2). I get <30ms ping to ON3 servers, theres no problem there at all. They will even be offering public rental servers as well, example your own clan server.

There is also a new patch out for Bad Company 2 which you can grab from ON3 as well (dont think it works for Steam users though.) You will need this within the next few days if you want to play BC2.

You would be better off preordering, if you want to play the back to karkland expansion (wake island, oman and 2 other maps), its free to preoders and costs $10-15 as dlc if you dont preorder.

I ordered mine from Origin last week. Apparently, we can get the beta two days before the official release date

I only just got my key through MOH on Steam. Kept refreshing, scared it wasn't going to work. Anyway my download on Origin is going full blast, 1.5MB/s on TCL cable so hopefully I'll get a game in before bedtime!

1.2MB/sec on slingshot off peak. Not bad really.

Time to go to bed.
