Has any router worked at this location?

Do we know if the Fibre connection is even working? Have you had a working connection with other equipment?

What was the previous router you were using at this location?

Yep I was using the router which was provided by Orcon. Plugged it back in again just so we have access to the internet and it's all working.

you havent brought the wrong router, you just IMO made a poor choice in it.

and it should (will) work, it may just not be the be all and end all the marketing makes it out to be.

you may sill end up with areas in the hosue with "good" signal but the device cant send the data back fast enough to be helpful.

Batman:

OP's connection is fibre so I can't see how ADSL parameters apply.

Note: Orcon use IPoE/DHCP on fibre not PPPoE.

Batman:

I have a feeling when you factory reset and use the set up wizard you may be able to choose PPPOA ... but i can't choose PPPOA on mine

PPPoATM (Aysnchronous Transfer Mode) is used on ADSL connections. Your router has no such interface.
