My point is that if the OP has a good VDSL connection in the wrong place, that is his/her problem.
But if the OP has a bad VDSL connection in the wrong place, that is 2Degrees' problem.
hi mate this is the test i just did, router is right next to me. looks like there's no difference then ADSL. when they first installed it download was 10mbps
That is a very bad VDSL connection - the upload speed of 4Mbps tells you that it is VDSL connection.
The minimum acceptable speed for VDSL is 15Mbps down, 5Mbps up.
The problem could be your distance from the exchange/cabinet &/or faulty house wiring.
Please look into your router and post your modem DSL stats (we need sync rate, attenuation and noise margin).
This will give give us a clue about what to do next.
