Hi, any reason you have DPI enabled, that will both impact performance amoung other things.

Edit, sorry ignore that

Glad I can ignore that, saves me researching what it is :)

That interface looks more like unifi controller to me rather than an edgerouter. Unifi APs and Edgerouters are two different ecosystems.

I think you might be right, the software is Unifi Network in the heading. It has a dashboard, statistics, map, clients, insights menu.

I do have an edgerouter, but sounds like that is different software?

The wifi also has nothing to do with this problem as you said the VTVs are connected via cat6 (to an Edgerouter that doesn't have wifi).

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Correct, the Unifi Network software does have LAN stuff in it, Gateways, IP stuff etc, Firewall etc.

so just ssh into the router directly, it will be the gateway of the network and "show configuration"

Ok found out what SSH is and tried to connect, the Unifi software has its own SSH user name and password settings, after 10 attempts at my password... found that out. Used that password but it wont connect. Wonder where the user name gets entered as the command ssh rout@192.168.1.1 then prompts for just the password. Ill try googling why... sigh

root@192.168.1.1 means logs in with user root.

P.S. how do you know that you aren't trying to connect to the vodafone router??

On my 'todo' list for sometime has been trying to get Vodafone Multicast IPTV working via an Edgerouter (to a Tbox but I believe VFTV G1 is the same?). Strangely enough I was going to have another crack at it soon because the HG659 has been locking up lots lately.

From what I've found it's possible with other IPTV multicast setups (e.g. Here) just need to try and see if Vodafone's service will cooperate with that.

Your beliefs are incorrect. Both VTV Gens use unicast.

I've been unplugging and plugging in routers all day!

PB tech set up the Ubiquiti router and I don't have the password! It's not the standard one. Guess I'll have to fully reset it?

This explains why I can't access the config file...

Resetting it doesn't obtain the current config.

Some basic study https://github.com/mjp66/Ubiquiti/blob/master/Ubiquiti%20Home%20Network.pdf

I'm not resetting it to get the config, it's to be able to log into it. Then I can get the config.

Once it's reset the specific config no longer exists. It will simply be on defaults, on 192.168.1.1/24 conflicting with the Vodafone router. Your current problems most likely relate to fact that you have two DHCP servers operating on same network. If it is indeed connected via its LAN interface then it's not routing anyway and serves no purpose.
