Lol what? We need far more details please. Network design, what site you are trying to connect to etc. are all important. Considering you require a proxy server I imagine this is realtively complex. I highly doubt the MTU will affect this.

As said, a bit more information is needed. Are the server and proxy in the same network? If not, how are they linked? What ISP? Are you using correct DNS?

Who are "they" in "They cannot connect to the proxy server"? A web site server or a customer site (as in office, location)?

Hi,

Sorry for not giving complete info.

The site is a small office. The proxy server is outside the site and is managed by a different team. Now for redundancy there are more than 1 proxy servers. The users on site can connect to one proxy server but cannot connect to the other two. Firewall on site is pix. But users on other site can connect to all three proxy servers.

It sounds to me that you need to talk to the other team managing the proxy to make sure a firewall is not blocking access from the "small office A". also make sure the people in "small office A" has the correct IP address for the proxy, and the correct configuration, including username and password for authentication.

Thanks Everyone! The site hosting the proxy doesnt block anything. Servers on the less user site can access the proxy server though users on that site cannot access the same proxy. Server on less user site is Windows 2003 and users PC is windows XP. Any way of troubleshooting is appreciated.
