I've been trying to get both computers to connect via bluetooth (I have usb adapters in each.) After a hard time, I've finally got both connected. But while I can cruise the web on the desktop dsl, I can't get anywhere on the laptop! I mean, it's connected...so why can't I go to a webpage on the laptop?

I've read and re-read the bluetooth guide and I can't think of what I'm doing wrong. It's very frustrating!!! ARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help!

Ok, I can't get to where I can change the Subnet Mask. I can add the ipconfig, but the subnet mask..I can't get to it.. I judt can't believe that the computers connect, yet only the main one is online. This is TOO strange...

Is ICS configured? Any personal firewall active? Are you using Windows XP Service Pack 2? If so, is the built-in firewall active?

I know that my firewall is active. I swear, I've spent a chunk of the night trying to config things around. This morning I got a scare as I wasn't able to even connect online on my desktop! I eventually had to just let the ip addresses connect automatically instead of placing the supposed correct ip address.

I think I'm cursed: I bought a wireless router, a usb adapter for the desktop and a pc card wifi for the laptop and couldn't get things connected that way. That's why I bought an extra bt adapter for my desktop hoping to get things connected that way. Now, for file transfers, things work smoothly, but as far as interne ton the laptop, it's a no go :(
