Hi!

I'm using without any problem a Bluetooth network between a 3870 iPAQ and my TabletPC... but I need to know the IP address of my iPAQ in this Network..

I'm thinking that is 127.0.0.1 but I need to have an IP address "simillar" to my IP address (192.168.x.x, for example).

Is it "possible" to assign in my iPAQ a IP working with Bluetooth? It's very easy working with WiFi cards.. but in Bluetooth?

Thanks

Pedro

If you just want to know the IP address, Netnotify should do the trick. You can't specify IP with the original drivers on the H3870, but you can on H5450 with Pocket PC OS 2002 or if using Windows Mobile 2003 on any Pocket PC.

If you're connected using the ICS then your Pocket PC's address will be 192.168.0.xxx

I know that my IP es 128.0.0.1 ... "not a real conexion" :(

I've just installed the BTW-CE from Widcomm and now I can put a "real IP" in my 3870 IPAQ working with PAN...

Now, the problem is that my Poke2 Bluetootk USB adapter doesn't have PAN service! :(

Another question... what's ICS? My english is not good ;)

O adaptador Poke2 (Bluetake) com a versao 1.3 deve ter o servico PAN. Para ativar, clique com o botao direito do mouse no icone do Bluetooth, e no servico Network Access selecione "Allow other devices to create a private network with this computer".

ICS e' a abreviacao para Internet Connection Sharing, que e' usado para compartilhar uma conexao LAN com outra.

Resolvi escrever em portugues, mas se preferir volto para o ingles .
