I just got a new IPAQ 4155 and had to take advantage of the bluetooth stuff. I have had for a while the Microsoft keyboard and mouse bluetooth and quickly figured out from here that it will not work. So I ordered the TDB USB adaptor and installed the software. It has popped up and asked for a License Key. This is pretty normal for software but I can't find the key anywhere. I must just be missing it can any one help.

Thanks
Mark

It should not ask for the key - the files are ready to go with your TDK. You mention the Microsoft Bluetooth adapter. Do you had this installed before? Perhaps the drivers are conflicting?

I think you may be right, I tried uninstalling the microsft stuff and the error did not pop up. I put the microsoft stuff back and it works fine for now but I bet I get the error upon re-boot.

Thanks

The re-boot brought back the problem. Should I not try to use both the Microsoft and the TDK radios at the same time. Will the keyboard and mouse work through the TDK radio?

Thanks
Mark

Mark, there's a thread in this forum explaining the order you have to install the software to allow the Microsoft and TDK to coexist (and it does not need a hack).

On the other hand, TDK will launch their drivers 1.4, which add the HID profile, used by mouse and keyboards - in this case you'll not need the Microsoft radio at all. But there's no firm date for this release yet...

Mauricio

I must be missing it, can you give me a subject on the thread for TDK and MS BT radios at the same time. I see lots of stuff on the using the TDK or widcom drivers (1.4) with the ms radio but I don't really need this I already have both radios.

Thanks
Mark

The post in this thread had instructions on how to change a file to allow installation of any drivers for any Bluetooth dongle. I had to remove it because of copyright issues. I'm not sure, but I think there is somewhere on that thread some guidance on what order you install the drivers if you have both.
