add me to the replacement Tempest
Due to failing battery and Sensors had confirmation that they will send replacement hope this one lasts more than 23 days
Sounds like this could be a bit of a problem...
Looks like UPS uses Aramex in NZ for local deliveries, had a look at their track/trace and mine appears to be at Wellington Airport since Monday morning and hasn't moved. Have lodged an enquiry but not heard back yet.
My replacement is still sitting in Miami, no tracking updates for a week.
2020 MacBook Air M1 (Space Grey) | 2023 Mac mini M2 | 2021 iPad Pro 11" M1 (Space Grey) | 2021 iPad mini (Space Grey) | iPhone 15 Pro Max (Natural Titanium) | HomePod (Space Grey) | 10x HomePod mini (Space Grey, White, Yellow, Blue, Orange) | 4x Apple TV 4K | Apple Watch Ultra 2
My replacement shipped 26 August, hopped across the USA to San Francisco by September 2, then departed Tokyo September 4th and that's the last update I've had. I only realised recently they send the replacements using via USPS First class package post, not the USPS Express Parcel used for the original purchase if using USPS.

You're still waiting a month later?!

Yes, still waiting.....
Fortunately my issue was lack of range between the weather station and base, so I still have a functional station which is close by, but sheltered from the wind.
I guess I should expect the same then. I didn’t realise it was First Class, assumed it would be the same speedy service they use when you order one. Clearly not.

The tempest finally showed up this morning (after sitting at the airport for a week!), took a little bit to get going which I'm wondering if its down to the app needing an update for iOS 15 but got there in the end.
Have bolted it to my deck for a few days to make sure it works well and allow time to see if the battery holds up (going off other posts here about battery failure)

Package has now left Auckland Airport, which I can see on the USPS tracking site. I assume the NZ Post tracking connection to USPS has been down awhile as NZ Post tracking stopped updating a month ago with the package still in New York, and has been telling me "an error has occurred" ever since.

Try the Aramex website track/trace

aramex = ups
nzpost = usps
Just want to say - my 2 units are still performing well. I suspect the battery failure issue may have been just a small number perhaps of a batch but it is also good to see they're being good about sending out new units.

The NZ Post app is probably one of the crappiest in the App Store. I didn’t know they linked in to USPS so I’m tracking it there too. Still in Miami and still no updates for 10 days, but at least based on your experience this sounds fairly normal. Glad yours is almost with you though.

If you're using it for tracking then switch to something else, I use TrackChecker and 17Track which are pretty good. You probably need at least two different apps to cover your bases since there are some things that one can track but not the other, e.g. Amazon's otherwise untrackable tracking numbers, and the even more useless Pitney Bowes ones. In particular TrackChecker is pretty good at tracing things across different tracking numbers when they move from one carrier to the next.
