Founder and CEO made a post on a Shelly Support Facebook Group

I have been reading your comments here and in the other Shelly groups over the past days. Some of you are worried, and I understand why. Many of you have seen what happens when a small company you love is acquired by a large one: the website changes, the documentation disappears, the registration stops working, support becomes a ticket number. So let me answer the actual questions, one by one, as the person who founded this company and who continues to run it.

Going through all the comments its clear customers are not positive about this. I do believe their CEO Dimitar intends for nothing to change, perhaps for the first 2-3 years that will be true, however this will not be the long term plan SE has.

Dimitar might get distracted by his shiny new toys. I would be.

I agree, it's not like it's too much pain for SE to just wait out a few years for the news to settle down before they start making changes.

It's unfortunate as shelly really were one of the better options if your looking for devices with certifications over a nobrand chinese clone.

I suspect we will start to see alot more shelly units being flashed to esphome
