I don't have this problem so am curious.

It shouldn't matter if the brush hits the wires? I mean, the only "brush stuck" errors i have are when it eats up plastic etc and the brush is actually truly jammed.

Do you guys have it on Turbo mode?

I've recently encountered an issue where most days it presents an error 5 saying the main brush is stuck, but it is not actually stuck. you can remotely restart it, but it is annoying. I did a bit of googling and no one really knows why, some people are cutting their brushes to be shorter though.

It's a common problem and I am jealous of those who don't suffer from it on their unit. Because Kogan is so painful to deal with I put up with the issue. I have found it is much better if you only cut the bristles on each side of the wire guards on the brush cover. When the brush is new there is a gap in the bristles to prevent hitting the wires, but as they splay out over time I think they hit the wires. Mine stops in the same room, despite it having exactly the same type of carpet as the rest of the house. I'm not sure if the room is a vacuum cleaner Bermuda triangle, or if it's a run time issue and it hits that room at about the same time. Mine seems to stop between 32 and 36 minutes into the run. It's annoying, but the benefits still outweigh the hassle for me so far. I think I'd pay more to buy locally for the next one, so I could actually return the unit without a 12 week turnaround time like with Kogan.

Yeah so it didn't happen at all in my old place, but we just moved so the carpet here may have something to do with it. I have also put in a new main brush. I have read that cutting the bristles helps so I guess I will try that. Where exactly do i trim it?

You would trim anywhere that you think would reduce the rolling resistance of the brush when it is operating.

I tried trimming. it still tells me the brush is blocked once or twice every time it cleans. I can remotely restart it but it is still annoying.

The other thing is add a layer of tape to lift it up 1mm

If you have automation software you could automatically rest it on error.

I had the stuck brush problem after a few months, happened every single time and got to the stage of being unusable.  Tried cutting the brush thing, trimmed it right back and that made no difference.  The thing that worked for me is taking the bottom off and spraying some Silicone spray around the wheels and the joints.  Working good as gold again.  Might need to redo that every 3-6 months but it's worth it.

Just pulled the trigger on one of these after months of back and forth deciding if I wanted one.

Hopefully arrive on my door step in 2-3 weeks as DSE have a 1-2 week dispatch time.

Are any purchases on DSE considered as NZ purchases, e.g. no tax and customs fees?

Well that was a bad experience.

Order sat at the payment processed status past the dispatch date all the way through to friday so I decided to chase this up.

First message back just said "You should have received an order update on the dispatch date" - Nope I only received the order confirmation.

Second message after letting them know I did not receive a message was "oops, it seems your order was missed, we will dispatch ASAP (Within 48 hours), we will escalate with a senior member of our team"

Third message was from the "senior member" saying there has been a delay and will get back to me ASAP.

Fourth message - "Unfortunately due to high demand this item has sold out, new expected shipping date 1st November."

I have sent a message asking for a refund as I only ordered as they were showing in-stock, in the past they have shown out of stock. I sent my last message yesterday but have not yet had a reply to my refund message.

I wouldn't recommend ordering from DSE.

I have the same thing, ordered a couple of weeks ago, no comms from DSE, till yesterday when I get an email saying that its been delayed, and wont be shipped until November... yet to ask for a refund.

Is there anywhere else that they can be ordered from at around the same price?
