richms: Go buy a cheap ES desklamp or similar to play with. Clamp on ones are only $7 or so at bunnings I think. Just check they are ES as often the display one is ES but the ones in the boxes are B22.
richms:
Doesn't matter, the SDOC is prepared by the importer so if you haven't got one, no sparky in their right mind will connect it up.
Manufacturers, importers and agents are required to complete a Supplier Declaration of Conformity form before certain products can be sold or offered for sale in New Zealand.
richms: Well no sane sparky will install gear that a user has sourced without a SDOC so unless you know a cowboy sparky then you will not be getting them installed.
The SDOC is offered by the people that are selling it, to the ones that they supply, it doesnt matter that you see a same looking item being sold on another site, because they are not supplying it so their SDOC is irrelevent. If you want to go BSing your sparky by providing them the SDOC for the one that you can buy locally along with your self imported switches then that is your call.
gchiu:tchart:
Did you order the wrong type?
I bought the pendant lights with Edison fittings a couple of days ago, but need to wait for the electrician to wire the lights up, and make them live.
There's no way to put individual switches by the lights so that's why I've gone for wifi lights. And I'm also ordering RF controlled light switches from Aliexpress but that will only turn on/off both lights together.
Cheers,
LimitlessLED:
I see you got the E27 RGBW Kit. so you say pendant lights? is that what you mean by LimitlessLED RGBW pendant lightbulbs? why do you need an electrician to change a light bulb?
if you bought and installed a new recessed light fitting that has B22, just send the kit back and I can swap it out for if you need E27 or B22 to match your fittings. No need for adapters.
LimitlessLED:
do you mean RF controlled remote? there are no RF wall light switches that are compatible to milight/limitlessled. Cheers,
Hamish.-LimitlessLED.

close lights
gchiu: I got the $7 lamp from Bunnings in the weekend
gchiu: And it was just a few lines to turn the lamp on using my Windows 8.1 tablet lights: open udp://192.168.1.124:8899 insert lights #{220055} ; turns light on close lights
LimitlessLED:
what windows8.1 scripting engine is that? PowerShell or similiar?
gchiu:
lights: open udp://192.168.1.124:8899insert lights #{220055} ; turns light on
close lights
use the broadcast address instead, it is more reliable because you may not always know the dhcp ip address of the wifi bridge. use this instead:
lights: open udp://192.168.1.255:8899
gchiu: Yes, I tried that as well and it worked.
The only issue I have now is that the bulb is just a tad too big for the fitting ( there's a glass sleeve it has to pass thru which I've removed temporarily ).
Are you going to get smaller bulbs made?
