Anyone on GZ have the GU10 down lights from Limitless LED? Im interested to know if they give off reasonable light given they are only 4W.

I do, but I don't know what I can say that isn't subjective. They worked well for me, that said my situation isn't a typical down light usage. It's due to previous owners having some "interesting" ideas on how maintenance/repairs should be done. A regular light fitting would be the normal usage where they've used a triple spotlight mount.

So my situation is that we are building a house. The spec currently includes non-replaceable 10W LED downlights. The guy we are dealing with has suggested we can switch to replaceable downlights and use Limitless LED bulbs. I'm just concerned if we go from 10W to 4W that the lighting would be a big step down. So really after some indication if you think 4W gives off a decent amount of light.

Also do you have the dual white or RGBW bulbs?

Also bare in mind that the bulbs are taller than a standard GU10 Halogen, so depending on the fitting, they may protrude.

Why not look for GU10 10W ones? It is the amount of lumens they produce that matters anyway, not the wattage.

Don't do it. Gu10 isn't enough for room lighting. You will have to have too many.

There are bigger downlights with the rgb and wifi options. Not sure if they are bought in to nz because of our excessive safety laws for downlights.

Just in case anyone is still following this thread, I recently purchased 2 bulbs and a bridge and I absolutely love them. Postage took about 5 days from placing order to delivery in NZ. If Hamish or anyone from Limitless is still watching this thread, are there any plans to get flat 9w Bulbs like easy bulb is selling?

I wish these lamps had a button or some other way to pair them up rather than just powering them on. Have ended up again with some lamps paired to a remote I dont want them to be, and as they are all on the one switch I have to reach up and unscrew them and rescrew them in one at a time to pair them back where they should be.

Hate to think how much hassle it would be if I had the recessed downlight ones.

I've just moved house and went to set up my 9w RBGW bulbs but they will not pair with the remote.

I turned them on and I think they were white then I can't remember if I tried to pair them or turned them off or what but they went blue. They wouldn't go back to white via the remote so I turned them off and on again to try and pair and they came on red and still will not pair with the remote.

They don't seem to work with my Wi-Fi bridge either but I have not attempted to re pair them with that.

Can anyone help?

Try to decouple from all remotes (reset) by long-pressing (3 seconds) Master 1/ON after powering up from main power, also do the longpress action within the first 3 seconds after main power was switched on.
Then re-pair (within 3 secs,after main power choose a zone and press 1/ON of that zone)

I have been very impressed with the 9W RGB bulbs they are very bright and 4 in a large room provide heaps of light, very easy to talk to the gateway unit for home automation also, just need to make a Philips HUE to Mi Light gateway now so i can control them with my Amazon echo as HUE lights are just to expensive to put through the whole house.

Yes you can do that using a Rapberry Pi

Implemented using Arduino Uno & Raspberry Pi (No Echo SDK used), the Raspberry Pi used to emulate Hue Bridge and to dispatch On/Off events to any device.

Thanks for the link I hadn't seen that one and will pursue this instead, I wrote all the scripts to turn on lights, projector, plex, amp and lights and they worked with voxcommander but the voice response and recognition was just not good enough so will try and migrate to this instead as that will be way easier than developing a gateway although that would be a great project.
