My WiFi bridge never stays connected for more than an hour so I've not used it. So, I'd be interested in testing another unit.

I have also found that the lights are incompatible with my Livolo electronic light switches. When I turn the LEDs off with my remote, on my dual Livolo light switch, this prevents the other switch from working. Instead of turning on the other light, it turns off the light that is sleeping, and then another press will allow the other light to go on. So, I mostly use the radio remote for my Livolo switch instead to control my lights.

Does anyone know if these can be controlled via 3G/4G like the Belkin Wemo? Thanks.

Yes but you need the WiFi bridge.

My replacement Wifi bridge is working much better.
After two days it has remained connected without locking up.

Ordered the white lights and they were here the second day!

These are really bright... As good as a 1100 lumen cfl.

Very pleased and will def be ordering more.

yes, correct, the White ones are brighter than RGBW. It's because there is room for more white led surface mount chips.

I have 2 of the rgb(cool)w in my lounge and they provide ample lighting when they're on full white. Lounge is probably 30m2 ish.

Hi can you recommend a supplier for strip lighting? It's for my daughters bedroom more for a feature wall than proper lighting and thinking around 2m of RGBW.

Whilst I understand what you're saying, it's not really an issue. LED strings run off 5V or 12V, typically supplied by a brick. If you buy the power brick in NZ, then you're getting the safety assurance.

Franky is correct. Anything below around 50V is classed as extra low voltage (ELV) and exempt from AS/NZ 3000 so doesn't even need to be wired by an electrician.

Perhaps try Jaycar or SiCom for a power supply.

I appreciate that but then you start getting into "compatibility" issues - if there's a fault then it's always someone else's gear that caused it.

I'd rather get it all from the same place and know it will work - I was hoping someone from limitless might have a suggestion.

Doesnt seem them or the wifi leds guys are bringing in the 12v strip controllers.

There really isnt any compatibility to worry about, 12v supplies are common enough. There are a few people selling OK priced ones on trademe which come with a compliant plug on them, plug that into the DC jack of a wifi RGBW controller and screw the 5 wires from the strip into the terminals and away you go.
