pulsta: Received it Thursday set it up with Alexa and all good until yesterday when it dropped off the network. No biggie, just one of those things that happens...AND it did it again this morning.

This is unfortunately a normal state of affairs with many IoT WiFi devices, just read reviews of anything WiFi-based and you'll see lots of complaints about the device falling off the network and having problems reconnecting. In particular Espressif or Espressif-like systems seem to have lots of problems with this, although this could just be a side-effect of how popular they are.

Well that didn't take long.

Worked perfectly for 9/10 days, and now the element no longer heats.

The leds still light up, still looks like its working, just element doesn't work.

stink.

Will update with how the warranty process goes.

All credit to mighty ape - shipped a replacement next day, no issues.

Little annoyed that it happened, but can't fault the service.
