Did it change accounts on its own? My account is with amazon in the US as I wanted the blue harmony skill rather than the UK green skill. The blue skill allows you to say "Alexa, turn on the TV" but the green skill makes you says "Alexa, ask harmony to turn on the TV".

Now no harmony skill at all! That doesn't work for me as the harmony hub is controlling just about everything

As the devices haven't officially launched here yet is it possible that the skills are still being ported across?

jmosen: And it begins. At least from alexa.amazon.com, the AU language is now available. Seems a bit monotonous compared to the US voice, but it's here.

Would be nice if you could add your own Alexa voice, like TomTom did/do. Homer Simpson / Arnie anyone ?

Alexa is now available in Australia and New Zealand!

Alexa provides a unique set of skills and features in Australia and New Zealand, including Coastal Watch, Qantas, Sky News Australia, hipages, National Australia Bank, Dimmi, Optus, Air New Zealand, TVNZ, the New Zealand Herald, NewsZM Radio and NewTalk ZB.

Some features available in other countries, including Sirius XM, Audible, Jeopardy! and ESPN are not supported by the Alexa experience for Australia and New Zealand.

The Australia and New Zealand Experience is not supported for Echo (1st Gen), Echo Dot (1st Gen), Echo Show, Echo Spot or Amazon Tap.

To enjoy the Alexa experience for Australia and New Zealand:

Click here to change your device country settings.
To set the language, open the Alexa App and go to Settings > Device > Language and select English (Australian).

I cant see any reasons there to try to switch, and it says that all the ones I already have are not supported. Losing all the US services would make them useless to me pretty much so will leave it on US and hope they dont try any geo blocking carry on.

You'll have to keep a US amazon account or they'll automatically move you to AU.. With no skills... Pretty big fail really.

My Amazon account is in the US, even now. It was just the Alexa services that they moved.

I've been in touch with Amazon about it, and posted on the Logitech Community site...

Yes, the Alexa services changed location on their own. Can't see a way to change it back, given that my actual Amazon account is still US based.

So how do you check the location, and if you use a DNS can you avoid this unsolicited moving thing ?

I thought you may be interested in the conclusion of the Amazon Echo Show Netvue cameras saga

After finally getting the orb camera connected and working I went to add the second camera. It didnt find it and it seemed to stop the first camera from working.

I gave up

I already had return authority from Amazon. Went to PO $62 Tracked ...Yowser!

Contacted amazon 'Retail Specialist"

Told them the return price

Still their ultimate goal is to place a device in your home that allows them to sell you stuff. So that is still achieved. The fact that most people here have them for their automation potential matters very little to Amazon.
Might hold off on getting any more Dots for now.
