What else did you buy? I'm keen on a Pixel and Daydream VR.
Just bits and piece from Amazon. I want a Pixel also but they are out of stock at Google (I am on the waiting list) and I couldn't buy one on my last trip except if I wanted to sign up for a plan with Verizon, which I didn't

Found a nice list of commands.
RS820+, DS223, CoreELEC on Odroid N2+, 3 x Echo Dot & 7 x Google Homes connected to Home Assistant on Beelink SEi12.
I saw somewhere they can talk to Hue bulbs. I currently have my Amazon Dot talking to devices emulating Hue bulbs via HABridge so I presume the Google Home can use the same emulation? It's going to get confusing with both the Dot and Google Home both running but I guess the trigger words being different would minimise confusion.

You need to be running at least v3.2.0 of ha-bridge as that defaults the port to 80 which GH requires. The builds beyond v3.5.x though now support MQTT which is awesome and works great. Too easy now to get everything under voice control! I have both Echo and GH and the family has no trouble using both.

My home has been totally useless for spotify today and yesterday. Skipping songs, playing a few seconds and then jumping to the next one and just saying that something went wrong. I have a feeling they are not putting as much effort into making it work as amazon did.

Maybe it's Google Home's subtle hint that you should swap over to Google Play Music (-;
Had mine for a while. Loving it.
sitting in the kitchen/dinning and great to just add things to the shopping list. Or keeping my 1.5 year old happy with animal sounds..
Wife uses it daily for music while tinkering away in there. Had to hook it into her spotify as i use my Google Play Music in the office and it cant run both at the same time. So that was rather annoying.
Have noticed a few little changes since first using it. We use to be able keep adding items to the shopping list. Now its only one at a time which can be repetitive if you are adding a few at once.
Have also run into the problem of multiple streaming video to lounge and playing music in the kitchen then couldn't stop the video 'cast'. Cant remember the command that did work to stop the video, but it was still 'casting' to the TV.

I know little about this, but is it optimised for New Zealand?

Did your order arrive yet? I was on the fence about buying one, they were on back order with bhp, before I saw your post - so ordered one straight away and it showed as shipped 22 Nov, and fell off DHL radar on 23. Contacted DHL yesterday to see if they had any info - they were more than useless and told me to contact original seller. BHP answered my email request straight away but say they have to wait 30 days from shipped before they can start a claim with DHL :(
No issues with them before, guess the package may have got caught up in the 'holidays' chaos.
yes, it arrived around a week after that post
