I'm wondering if the noise from your Chime is due to potentially noisy electricity. Are you perhaps using powerline adapters for your internet?

Just checked mine and it is silent normally, and totally fine when it yells at me when somebody is at the door.

Mine is silent too when it is not playing a Chime.

No I dont use any poweline adapters. The Chime Pro that I borrowed doesn't produce the high frequency noise oscillation. Both Chime devices have been tested on 2 different power points.

I don't feel that this is a power or volume issue.

I also get a loud click sound a second or two after the Chime stops playing the chime. This happened on both Chime units but not on the Pro

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

Could be they cut too many corners with the amplifier and its getting the raw switching signal come out past a filter. Some cheap bluetooth speakers are terrible at that and have huge ultrasonic components to the audio which you then hear as well
