Very likely to be wet.  But try a small test print and see.  It might be ok, it might hiss and spit at you, you might get unpredictable results.

Then look up drying methods.  They range from filament specific drying boxes to sticking the reel in the oven for several hours.

I tried a print and it failed . I wasnt watching, cos life's too short , and came back to black spaghetti in mid air.

First couple of layers stuck to the bed ok.

Ender 3 so the issues could be many 😃 but it worked last time I used it.

I will try bake the snot out of the reel and try again.

Yep, the Ender 3 lottery.  Spin the wheel of failure options and see what sticks (or doesn't).

With the minimal cost of filament it may just need to be sacrificed to the 3D print gods and grab a new one.

No, no, it's better to spend $15 of electricity to save the $10 of filament remaining !

Yes, the Ender 3 tries my patience sometimes. I've not used it much since I added the bed levelling sensor so I'll give it a little longer to prove itself.

Silvrav:

@paul1977 What brand and PLA are you using? those are some clean looking prints.

I am going to switch to PLA as PETG is cool and all for functional prints, but for to shiny for anything decorative.

@Silvrav Bambu. I think they have a reputation of being fairly average and overpriced as far as filament goes. But in theory they should be optimised for Bambu printers and vice versa, so until I'm feeling a little more adventurous I'm happy to stick with them. I've gone PLA Matte for black, grey, and white; and PLA Basic for the brighter colours as the matte colours are a bit muted. The Xenomorph skull is Matte Bone White, which is less stark than the Matte Ivory White that I've used for other prints. The dragon is PLA Silk+, results with this filament are a bit hit and miss. I've also got some PLA Metal (no actual metal in it).

Any theoretical advantage of using Bambu filament probably goes away with a non-Bambu printer.

The functional stuff I've done with Bambu PETG HF has come out good too (these mainly consist of parts to make the printer itself better). The Freddie Mercury print above was PETG HF as well, as I thought it would need that little bit of extra strength.

I dried the PETG HF before use. I haven't bothering drying PLA before use, but I'm being pretty diligent keeping all the filament as dry as possible. My AMS is currently sitting at 6% humidity. I also have a large container with a butt-load of desiccant storing spools not currently in the AMS, and that's sitting at 11% humidity. How much of a difference that all actually makes is anyone's guess, but my prints are coming out fairly clean so I'll keep doing it.

I've had a few spaghetti monsters from support or bed adhesion failures. But so far, more hits than misses.

The refills are good to save a few dollars if you already have some left over spools. But I’m new to 3D printing so don’t have any empty spools, and annoyingly some of their newer colours are ONLY available as refills so I had to print some spools to use them.

@waikariboy do you get them somewhere were there a discount for bulk refill purchases of 10 or more?

I just printed off some spools. I get my filament from marvle3d. Bambu used to sell to New Zealand but they stopped this.

So I got some hyper PLA yesterday, was on special at Jaycar so got a few rolls.

PLA is definitely better for deco prints but I'm suffering with stringing at the support attachment points. PETG did not have this issue so Im thinking I'm printing to fast or I need to adjust so the supports are closer to the print.

@Silvrav I printed that same one as one of my first prints, but don't have a picture of the bottom and it's on my desk at work so can't check right now.

If I recall the underside didn't look great particularly great on mine either, although I think it was a bit better than yours. I'll try to remember to have a look tomorrow and get a photo of the underside.\

I reopened the project file though, and it does have a lot of supports on the Bambu. 0.16mm layer height, 60mm/s outer wall speed, 150mm/s inner wall speed. And the support and support interface speeds had been slowed right down to 50mm/s. There were other tweaked setting as well, but it was all preconfigured in the project file by the person who posted it.

@Silvrav Actually, not sure mine is much better afterall - the black might just make it less noticeable. Could just be an issue with this particular model maybe?

Thanks Paul, looks like it is then a model issue rather then a printer issue.

Where did you get that xenomorph skull? keen to print one as well :)

I get most things from MakerWorld since they usually have full project files I can load into Bambu Studio with minimal tweaking required. But you can download the STL instead if that's what you need for Creality.

I'm quite liking the Hueforge stuff. And then print easels or frames to display them.

Friday the 13th (not a particular fan of the movies, but liked this Hueforge with a 3d mask "popping" out the front:

My other half isn't generally a fan of movie related art, so these all get relegated to my man cave!

I Really need to do some hueforge prints soon.

My partner and I build lego sets, so I build a rose set recently, some on her desk some on mine. Except I had no vase, so 8hours later....

That came out well. That's something my partner would probably appreciate more than a machete wielding Jason Voorhees print.

I'm thinking I might purchase a personal HueForge software licence and see if I can create my own. I like them, but the selection of available downloads to print is skewed heavily towards geek culture.

@paul1977 I am very tempted - https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/627456a864e0aab76faf28d8?source=5&ts=1751083731984

@Silvrav I saw the same one on MakerWorld but don’t have the right colour filament at the moment. It’s definitely on the list for one day though.
