Page only shows the switches, not the bulbs.

Didn't read all the way down. But looks like it can be fine with IFTTT

SOS...

So my Google Home turned up today...all unboxed and sitting on my Kitchen counter ready to go...

Except, I cant get the damn thing to connect to my home network.

As i progress through the set up, my phone temporarily connects to the Google Home's own wifi I hear the test sound fine, move through to connect Google Home to your Wi-Fi and it has a drop down box, which i presume is for selecting your wifi from. Except it only has Other... as the only option, even if i click the down arrow... Other is all that is there.

There is a box below to enter network name, which I have tried manually doing and then selecting security, of the 3 options, plus none, i have tried all with my network name and manually entering my password.

Expect every time, with each option, it wont connect and says

Connection Problem during Setup!

Google Home xxxx could not connect to xxx - please check your Wi-Fi network name.

I suspect this must be an issue with my router settings.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have found a page that has some info on Router settings, which i am about to try.

Can anyone else assist...!

Please

Could well be. Just trying to gain access to my router. As I use a Surface Pro 3 I have not LAN port, so am hunting out my old laptop to connect it to the Router.

Will check the channel...will it not like 12 or 13?

Cheers

I owe you a Beer!

Router was set to channel 12 and changed it to 9 and it recognized my wifi straight away!

Finalizing set up now with an update to Google Home

Legend!

Im just using an adapter.  The ggole home power supply is a non standard one, so an adapter seemed easiest.

I now have one google home, one alexa, and another home on the way :)  Controlling harmony hub, phillips HUE, and about to install lutron lights.  Also have a ring doorbell.  All working great

Looks like we'll need Adblock for Google Home next.

I used BHPhoto and shipped directly to NZ. First time ordering through BH and was pleased with ease of ordering and tracking data.

Yep cost me about $220 landed. Unfortunately I ordered it a week before they offered a free Chromecast with all GH orders...bugga!

Had it for approx 1 month and love it. Haven't had any issues that others have had works 95% of the time which is better than I hoped given first gen product and what it does.

Cheers
