Just like the original international version of the Kindle, the new Kindle DX is also not available in NZ. But Amazon "...are excited to now ship Kindle DX to..." such erudite places as Albania, the Central African Republic, and Mongolia. NZ residents can access Kindle content via a PC, which makes me think this is not a copyright licencing issue or restrictions demanded by booksellers, but rather a technological issue with access to an available 3G network. Maybe it hasn't been approved for use in NZ as a mobile device. Who knows. Is there anyone currently in "deep discussions" with Amazon and who would be willing to declare their hand?
David.
