Too good to be true. If you google search the advertiser's name in quotes, you'll find nothing about them, you'll just find their ads across numerous job websites.

Sounds like an outbound call centre / telemarketing. Get paid based on the number of sales you make. Steer well clear.

Same ad is posted all over the world, including the US and Canada.

Just google "Participating in Paid Studies, Data Entry agent,"

It could be a money laundering scheme, or "mule" job forwarding illegal items.

Ask for their address, and use Google to find if the address is a "virtual" office, meaning that they are renting a shared office space.

Also google their phone number to see if that brings back weird results.

I'd beware.

How are people finding the job market out there? I'm still on the hunt, but hell it's tough at the moment. Not only are there bugger all listings, but (most likely thanks to coronavirus) there are heaps more applicants than before.

I applied for one role on Seek that told me "you may be a strong applicant". I didn't get it - but probably neither did any of the 327 other people that applied :O

There's a lot of demand for building workers/tradies - anything like that appeal?

I know this won't help your situation, but perhaps others who stumble onto this thread.

The job market last week substantially picked up in Wellington, as government agency are trying to spend money before the end of the year, lest they lose it.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

For training you may want to check out the Xero Youtube thread, as there's a lot of material there. Xero, being started in New Zealand, is very popular (as is Microsoft Office advanced skills)

Here's the Xero Youtube channel. They are prolific posters. (I'm not affliated)

Adding a line to your CV saying, "In my free time, I'm often on watching Xero training videos, and have attended some of their free webinars." could help you stand out.

Sorry for the late update, I did get a new job in the end. Still in training but it's definitely a step up from my last role.
