Hi,

Does anyone here have LTE enabled on their iPhone 5? What is your battery life like? I'm in Australia on Telstra and with LTE enabled and 4 bars of reception, my battery is dropping over 10%/hr when my phone is idle and 15%+ when I'm using it to browse web etc. So I'm only getting half a day out of it... the speed is great but it's not really practical

Good point. I thought Telecom had 4g enabled in some places.

No LTE in NZ at the moment, so no one will be able to answer your question!
(Unless there's someone on the LTE trial, but they might be under NDA, so couldn't tell you anyway!)

But not long to go before lots of people get some LTE goodness!

A couple of cell towers in the Hutt, one in Waipukarau, a couple in Auckland, and a site at Willis St that I am told covers just the Telecom building and across the street.

The consumer LTE trial starts officially today.

You probably have a better chance of getting Vodafone LTE first, when it's available.
