Yes, shipments of iPads have slowed considerably in the past few days, after a healthy spurt last week.

Thanks for the update. How long approximately would you expect I would be waiting for an ipad if I ordered off you today?

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum to discuss sales, but if you ordered a WiFi model now, delivery is likely first or second week of May

I've bought my MacBook Pro 15" from them. Great service and awesome prices.

Judging from all the fun you guys have, it's about time I get that unit back to play with it myself ...

Well I've bought a 32GB model from someone in Texas through eBay. Not too much of a markup on the original price but the killer was the expedited shipping + postal insurance, plus I suspect there will be some sort of Duty/GST before it arrives with me in NZ. If it arrives here broken at least I appear to be covered but if it breaks a couple of months down the line I don't know where I stand with the warranty, guess I would have to send it back to the states!

So what is everyones favorite case style. Even though I dont have an ipad I do plan on getting a tablet of some sort at some stage. I have all I need to whip up a leather case with large stamps type thingys that are capable of putting designs in the leather using a press system. As well as some metalworking craft supplies. So I can add embossed metal. I figured Ill just make a ipad style prototype in the meantime and just sell it off using online auction.
So at the moment Im thinking a simple sleeve design. Maybe a length of leather folded in half with a rustic look by threading thick leather cord up the sides to hold it together. Or I could sew the piece together and turn it inside out for a nice edge. Im a a standstill as to whether I like a flap on top as well to close it. If I did I guess a simple metal clasp or leather cord to hold it shut would be cool.
I should probably just start playing and see how I go.

I think I'll be making sure to get a nice leather case that has a sleeve/pocket for a mobile wifi hotspot device so I can use my wifi ipad and or macbook while on the road. Either taht or jailbreak my iphone.

I hope the 'late May' date on the Aussie Apple site includes the 3G version. If the WiFi and 3G releases are staggered there as they were in the US then I guess the 3G version won't hit the lucky country until late June which would be a pain for me, especially since the intial supplies might be limited at the time of release.

Time will tell.

Yes, it's been stated before that the Wi-Fi and 3G+Wi-Fi models will be released internationally at the same time.

Then again, the whole world was supposed to have the device by the end of March...
