VDF Lambton said that they have a list of 200 - 250 people who are in line for the current stock they have, they reckon it'll take at least 2-3 months for everyone who wants one to be able to get one....but I got mine!!!

2-3 months? Maybe if everybody is silly enough to buy from Vodafone.

You mean VF Northlands Mall, right? Because I've just been there and they have all been allocated.

VF Riccarton do have some but I think I'll just wait. I've put my name down at VF Northlands.

Any idea on the ETA?

My GF just rang from the First Mobile store in Riccarton mall and was completing the credit check as we spoke... Still some in stock there... No they won't sell outright, yes she is cancelling the contract tomorrow.

How does the price stack up if you get the $40 plan and then cancel the next day or month? Might be better than this 3 week wait without a phone..

Either way, you have a 3 week wait for an iPhone4 with no contract delivered to your home, or a possible/maybe 24 month contract IF you can race to the right store for limited stock at the right time competing with others ...

Otherwise keep it on iPhone40 for 6 mths and cancel when the termination fee drops by $170 to $280 - overall you pay ~$120 more but get 6mths usage at around $20/mth

I picked up a 32GB unit 15 minutes ago at VF First Mobile Westfield Riccarton

They had 4x 32 units left and a bunch of 16's

Will have to ring VF Northlands to cancel my other one. Hope they don't mind.
