If your iPhone comes with firmware 4.0.2 then there is NO WAY to revert back to a jailbreak-able firmware.
The only way to bring it back to 4.0.1 is to visit cydia or pull your shsh blobs, this is only possible if youre on a firmware less than 4.0.2.

reverting back to 4.0.2 is only possible if you've accidentally upgraded a jailbroken phone.
nothing you can do if you recieve a 4.0.2 phone!

ZollyMonsta: IPHONE 4 BLACK 32GB-AUS

Ships: 13/09/2010
Delivers: 17/09/2010

Long wait ahead for me. :(  Just ordered on Monday.

I can sympathize. I ordered my wife's phone on Friday, so am looking at estimates only 3 days earlier than yours. Pretty shabby on my part, considering its her birthday present, and her birthday was in July. :-)

I wonder if we can have Apple up for false advertising. Their website still states "iPhone 4 is here. Get fast, free shipping.". If 4 weeks is fast, I'd hate to see what they call slow. :-D

This really sux. I wanted to try multiflow and few other apps like vwallpaper.

They will find a way to jailbreak, they could just be waiting till 4.1 is released, no point wasting a jailbreak on 4.02 for apple to just patch it

Well technically the shipping is still fast, I think the slow part is the manufacturing :/

I also sympathise, I ordered mine late as well as I *was* going to pay Vodafone money, but due to Vodafone's cock-up, I eventually ordered from Apple.

My expected ship date is 2/9. Nearly there...  :)

I was going to get two, one for me and one for wifey.. but the price was a bit... prohibitive.. So I'll be the guinea pig in our household for now.. :)  I plan to throw away the old Sharp GX15 mobile. :D

While I'd love to own one, I'm not a very big mobile phone user, especially when contrasted to my wifes mobile usage. And because I already have an iPod Touch, it made more sense to convince her that she needed one :-)

I would say that I was lucky enough to get a Macbook Pro instead recently, but at this point in time that statement is not true, as I await to hear from Noel Leeming regarding a second replacement laptop being ordered to address display issues (stuck pixels) with the originally purchased one AND its replacement.

I want to get Hubby at least a 3GS. Now that we're txting and phoning each other a lot on BestMates. I'm going to look up the cost.

I was wondering if the SSH blobs from my JB ipod touch would work on my phone. As far as I know the Dev team is waiting for 4.1 and no one has any idea when that will be out.

I keep learning cool things about the phone all the time. Like when Hubby calls me the splash screen shows his photo! So neat. I just love this thing. I was playing with the web cam streaming from my laptop on it today. Sound and video. Cool!

I take it back. For the price diff. he may as well get an iPhone 4 or a droid of some kind.

The only thing different between 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 is the fact Apple patched the jailbreak; according to MuscleNerd (who works on the jailbreaks) has said they wont release a new jailbreak till 4.1

.."The iPhone 4 is currently out-of-stock in the Vodafone Online Shop. More stock is due on Friday 27 August.
A full list of prices are now available."

Was in Albany Westfield this morning and went into First Mobile - useless. Then spoke to the guys at Digital Wireless and they were awesome - even had a few in stock - so here I am with a brand spanking 32GB version!!

Just waiting for the microsim to be activated now as I didn't want to cut mine down.
