Funny thing is (not well known fact) when you SIGNED for your package, you were indicating that you were happy with the package and that you were releasing any further right to a claim about the package. Which basically leaves you between Apple and yourself. Of course the Courier company in this situation would be pretty dumb to wash their hands.
Didn't the box feel a weird weight? Was it sealed?
JayADee: Well each box has the serial number on it that is on the phone! I bet Apple can track that sucker down when it gets plugged in.

I wasn't asked to sign for my package which is the wried thing, the courier guy didn't ask me to sign anything when giving me the package, I opened the pack quite quickly before the courier guy left, and told him that there is nothing inside the box, he took couple of photos of the box with a camera (as evidence/proof?) and told me that he will need to talk to his manager when he gets back.....
So then I phone TNT and NZ courier this afternoon....

Well done on opening before he left!!!!!!! 11/10 for that! Even I wouldn't have done that!
He should have asked for a signature. That's dodgy. I'm pretty sure everything from the Apple Store is SPECIFIED as signature required which means the driver MUST insist on a signature. Dodgy as.
