dclegg: iPhone turned up about 15 minutes ago. Yay! One major problem.... its my wifes, so I'm suffering major phone envy right now  :-D

I'm charging for her now so she can have a play when she gets home. One question though; we got her a 2Degrees microsim on the weekend, but haven't ported her Vodafone phone number over to it yet. Will we have any problems if I activate the phone now with the original microsim phone number, considering it will have a different number associated with it in a few hours?

If you got yours 15mins ago? I should get mine soon, TNT says AUCKLAND out for delivery updated an hour ago.

I am having a problem now with iTunes, when I go to buy something it says I need to review my account, witch clearly says NZ, but iTunes wants to me sign up with a US address and CC?

I have reg my iphone and I have a apple account (witch i used to buy the phone)

how do I fix this?

Just wondering how many weeks from the date you guys ordered to the date you received your iPhone4? According to Apple my order is going to take 4 weeks!

Yep mine was pretty much 4 weeks.. though they stated delivery on 17th (This Friday) and it appears I should get it today.. So they might be just covering themselves a bit for delays in shipping/customs etc.

not quite, I ordered mine on the 18th of Aug and I got it today 13th so almost a month.
TNT has a good tacking system that lets you follow it all the way to your door step.
however the TNT tacking system doesn't kick in until your apple account says prepared for shipment (this happens after at least 2.5 weeks after making the order

The time went by so fast.

FYI guys the default firmware is  iOS 4.0.2 (8A400) if anyone wants to know. right now im updating to 4.1

I found out why itunes wasnt working.

by default when you download itunes its set to USA, you need to change it to NZ within the app its self.
you will see a flag icon, somewhere right half of the screen.

I know it seems nub, but you would think this would update automatically when you log in with your apple ID that clearly says NZ.

anyways
happy hunting
