I think it's simply because they know the iPhone will sell so it's not a priority to keep us posted :P

It'll sell alright but how many are gonna go to the dark side?

But- Whats the best option for people wanting it on lunch day and taking it to XT? Pretty sure DSE and jbhifi are all VF pushers....

What's wrong on buying directly from Apple online?

i'm guessing the possible delay on deliveries till monday? Patience isn't in the dictionary for gadget geeks. :P

Yeah... i'm the guy that wants everything instantly and has no concept how an overnight courier service can even survive. I want it day 1 and on my terms.

now if only dealextreme would sort out their slow 'fast' shipping........

UrbanGrafix: Except its not Apples tatics, its not like Apple mandated one release date (plan info etc) for every other country yet some how New Zealand is special and we only get the info the day before.

This is all Vodafone not Apple I would say

You or I will have no way of ever knowing this...

Snow Go - im suspecting

I am amazed VF haven't released anything and as a result am seriously considering buying outright and taking it to telecom, just to learn VF.

VF specifically said in their email they would release pricing plans next week,  that was 2 weeks ago.

I think we can all guess round about what the prices are going to be anyway, we already now the price for the 16gb model.  I think the VF subsidies will be about the same as the 3gs, but I would like to know who has stock and what my best options are for getting my hand on one - day one, or midnight etc, I don't do patience - can't even spell it.

It's not so much that we Apple freaks are impatient (we are), but knowing about costs is important to PLANNING financially. Or is this a tactic so that we rush in unprepared and sign up for plans we can't afford???

This non-information is really really bugging me. How can I make plans around an educated guess? I don't work that way.

At least it's only a few more days away.

I'm not impatient - i just REALLY need to spend the money before I relapse and blow it all on crack.

I'm going to use reverse psychology.

Vodafone I love you. Thanks for telling us very little. Please keep keeping the information to yourself for as long as you can.

Love and kisses xxx

Hell, I wish we had more competition here with the iPhone.

I mean Optus in Aussie are opening 25 stores at midnight while having a ton of people from MasterChef there aswell.

Wouldn't be surprised if vodafone announced the plans etc before the 6:00 news tonight!
Here's hoping. At this rate we'll have the phones before we know the plans!

I bought one of these:

http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=11867

stuck it to RC plane last week, but its TINY, can just tape it to your board or helmet, only 640x480 but footage is pretty good for $13.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm-bfNlQkig

Definately put your own microsd card in it, it needs class4 or above to be jitter free on fast motion.
(excuse the ugly guy in the video)
