Why not use Dropbox to copy the photos to the PCs hard drive overtime as you take photos?  Doing it your way also risks you losing photos if the phone just dies or you lose it.  

 

it's my wife's phone, she calls me to help when the phone storage is full.

not heard of this method ... certainly currrently it seems to be a 6 monthly to 12 monthly ordeal which i can cope with.

i just thought I bought a phone with faster transfer speeds but  ...
