SQLGeek: I can see mine sitting at the front door, waiting for me.

I just looked at the picture again and noticed your door mat says "Slide to unlock". Cool!

OMG. You gave them authority to leave?

I hope it's not a bad decision on your part and it's still there when you get home...

I spoke to the courier via the video door bell (ring.com).
The house is well off the street and there are a few cameras, so at least I coule watch it being stolen.
Hmmm, might text the neighbour just in case.

Yeah, that is one of the things you see online and just have to get. The iPhone finger print reader makes it a tad out of date now.

So anyone found any cool tricks on the 6S/6S Plus yet?

I just discovered that when you're typing a text/e-mail/whatever, you can deep-press and hold on any key on the keyboard and then you can move your finger around the keyboard and you get what is essentially a mouse pointer in the textbox for you to easily select exactly where you want the cursor to go to add new text/fix a typo etc.

Just called apple, apparently the second stage of orders are starting to change to "preparing for shipment". The delivery time might change depending on the Orders they get out today.

I am freakin LOVING 3D Touch! Even at this really early stage of its implementation, it's useful and shows great promise for efficiencies. Can't wait to see what 3rd party devs do with it...

Looking forward to an evening with my new toy, though it'll be gone 8pm before I get to play with it. For now it's just looking super pretty in my handbag :o)

Few quirks that annoy me, being a long time Android user since the iPhone 3GS:

  • Can't have more than 4 icons on my dock
  • With the Google app location reporting turns the navigation icon on 24/7 (I used Google now cards for transit notifications etc)
  • Even though I've changed my phone's name it still shows up as "James's iPhone" under personal hotspot on my Mac
  • Haptic feedback on the keyboard, I miss it
  • Not sure what to make of 3D touch yet
Otherwise it's a refreshing change

Wait for 9.1 jailbreak to answer your first question.

Hmmm... That sucks the big one mate, sorry to hear it... That kind of thing really takes the shine off the occasion, I hope they get it resolved for you over the weekend!
