sp77150: Did everyone who ordered on launch day, receive their new phones?

Yes - ordered from Apple within 15 minutes of launch, arrived at work by 8am yesterday.

Took it for its first outing today.

Didn't want to take it out of my pocket for fear of dropping it.

Have to say the iPhone 6S Plus doesn't feel big or weighty in the pocket, especially coming from the Nexus 5

Can anyone give suggestions on the best way to display the 4K video on my 4K tv? Presumably streaming methods (like mirroring) will cause degeneration in quality either through Apple TV not supporting 4K or just simply through network/device transfer lag. Short of using some sort of HDMI out cable (which I don't own) would somehow copying a video to a USB 3.0 stick and plugging it directly into the TV give me the most accurate transfer? What's the best way to get the video files onto a usb stick?

Yep, got mine delivered to my house around 10am. Think most that have been posting on this thread who ordered early got theirs too.

I will probably buy a 64Gb 6S in November when the Applecare on my 5S expires, so it's interesting to hear you early adopters sharing your experiences.

I'm not sure whether I'm going to be comfortable with 3D touch because the pressure that I apply tends to subconsciously depend on what sort of mood or how much of a rush I'm in. Are any of you 6S/6S+ owners finding it annoying? Is there any way to disable it?

Had my first glitch just now. Closed out of YouTube inside Safari browser where I was viewing a tutorial on how to pair with my car's stereo (it's been a long time since I last did it!) and went to go to settings to look at Bluetooth, and the screen was frozen. I couldn't even swipe to turn the device off. Had to do a hard reset. Is that an iOS 9.0.1 thing?

Hard to say, one would need to simulate your exact scenario.

I did, however, pair my phone to my head unit this morning with no issue though

Yes, you can disable 3D Touch entirely, and also adjust how much pressure is needed. It's in Accessibility settings.

Anyone have any knowledge of any of Vodafone's retail stores in Auckland having any 6S Plus stock in store?

St Lukes has none.

I'm enjoying using my new phone. I'm more paranoid about scratching the screen prior to my tempered screen protector than anything else. Still have the factory packaging on the front. Its getting rather scuffed.

Perhaps I am just worrying too much about the screen?

Makes for using the home button and touch sensor difficult haha.

My two year old 5s has never had a screen protector and there are no visible scratches even on close inspection. It's always been transported in a leather case though.

I wouldn't worry too much.

I have come from an iPad Mini and a Nexus 5.

Is there any way of swiping between apps on the iPhone 6S Plus like you can on the iPad?

Love the touch ID and the always on Siri.

After a bit of Googling, it seems to be an iOS9 thing - I found a site with tips on how to get around it (hard reset) so I'm sure it'll be sorted in a future update.

I also had no trouble pairing once I realized I needed to press the green phone button to enter the phone setup menu. My subwoofer is doof-doofing once more :)

Double click the home button and you should find all open apps cascade right to left.

You can also swipe upwards to manually close the apps
