Didn't think it would be this quick before Paul's comment came back to bite him in the buttocks!

Let's take another side episode on iPhone 4 launch...

Let's just say... hypothetically... that Vodafone NZ has the failure to launch iPhone 4 tonigh/tomorrow..

What could be the reason? Hypothetists, get to work, QUICK!

Sounds great to me, and still consistent with Apple's statement earlier this week. Remember they didn't mention Vodafone then.

I guess this is a sensitive topic for them.

My posts to the Vodafone forum were just deleted.

Man, I am so canceling my VF account of 4 years (non-prepaid) if Telecom comes up with something better.

It's all a bit 11th hour. Smells bad. Could just be fuel for the social media hype-engine? Too dangerous IMO, must be something political.

How interesting if it did still go on sale tomorrow from places like Magnum Mac... Is there anyone actually queuing for the phones, hoping for the best?

With the phone going on sale tomorrow I find it very odd that there has not been an official announcement either way. Surely you wouldn't make everyone believe it is still on sale and then pull the plug on the day. That has to be a really bad move surely?

if what @boby55 posted is correct... it think there will be no official carrier in NZ market for iPhone 4. It will be from retail shops like how iPad was launched last week. Which does make a better sense as in NZ it's in an unlocked device anyway... and the iPhone buyers can have greater freedom to pick a carrier they prefer, rather than being locked to Vodafone's terms contract.

Though this does mean the iPhone 4 may be beyond minority of people that can't get it off "cheap".

With this approach I hope it has a revised AppleCare though, meaning that it should/could be an international AppleCare warranty rather than country-specific?

*here's hoping*
