Winpwn is for windows and it's the latest one out as far as I know. I tried winpwn and I just couldn't crack it. I then tried quikpwn and not a problem. I had to update my iphone to the 2.0 with itunes. Then I had to update or unlock the 2.0 with quikpwn as quikpwn doesnt update firmware so you must update it through itunes first. Winpwn will update the firmware. I dont have a 3g but you can find many forums on it. A very helpful forum is www.simonblog.com   You can ask questions and get a very quick answer. I found him very helpful. Hope I've helped.

Do you know what the sad thing is? When I set the region format to USA, and the numbers come up very nicely. :P

How do you know if the phone number format is supported in your country? You can go to “Settings” -> “International” -> “Region Format”. If your country is not listed, you probably need CallerID Fix Collection to rescue. CallerID Fix Collection, developed by Carlo Franchino, is a solution for those iPhones in a country that is not supported in Regional Format. The latest release of CallerID Fix Collection (v1.1.1) added the following country support: N.Z is one of them supported.

For complete list of supported countries, you can refer to here. As always, you can download and install this application via Cydia from iSpazio Repository (http://repo.neolinus.org/ispazio). After installation, restart your iPhone to take effect.

I found that that fix didnt work?

I read the PDF, and it said that it supported NZ, yet, when i installed it. The caller ID remained the same. Still not fixed.

Aaroona: They introduced new number lengths with resulted in Apple's iPhone not recongnising the longer format.

They introduced new number lengths before the iPhone 3G was even conceived. Surely this is not an excuse? One could argue the tech sending relevant information to Apple neglected to mention we now have 11 digit numbers on prepay but I feel this in unlikely. More likely they were operating on outdated information (2 years +).

true, but also, these are not just prepay numbers. They are also the new contract numbers as well.

Vodafone are useless. Apple are slow. Expect to be waiting atleast 6 months.

Other than that, no other news.

BUMP

Just to let you guys know, 2.2 didnt fix anything if you were hoping for it to.

The only noticable thing I found with 2.2 was tht the performance was A LOT better than with 2.1

But still, a fast phone without working caller ID is useless to me, really.

When im in a meeting I have to screen calls based on the importance. Seems I cant do this with all of my calls therefore missing a few important calls because I didnt know who was calling.
