Satch:
But this happens every single Apple iPhone launch.  Supply mostly outstrips demand in the first few weeks of launch.

Have usually ordered as soon as pre-orders are available on Apple Store, so might be why this years experience was new to me, having ordered a fair while after the pre-orders opened.

Got my phone today, so delivery time was actually a couple of weeks, but Apple was predicting delivery in late october up until the phone was shipped last friday.

I ordered mine while the pre-orders were still saying delivery on 25th Sept but due to it being finance the order wasn't processed for 4 days.

Mine arrived on Monday so I'd say you were pretty lucky as really yours was in the same run as mine.

Loving the phone so far but haven't really stretched its legs. I did forget to charge it last night but it had 54% charge this morning, a quick charge in the car on the way to work took it up to 72%

Liking the camera, I am finding that the photos where the light is different are a lot better.

Force Touch is quite good for e-mail previews but haven't really found much other use for it, I do find I am trying to use it where it isn't available at times and wish it was!

Touch ID is so fast compared to my 6+

Processor.... I haven't noticed a difference in it to be honest.

The new features are cool, but not enough that I'd go out and upgrade my GF's iPhone6 for her.

I ordered on Sparks website on Monday afternoon and am still waiting for my order to be processed. Not sure how long this process is meant to take...

Haha, 20 minutes or so after I made the post, I got a call from Spark saying they'd finished processing my order and sorry for the wait. Got a text this afternoon from CourierPost saying it'll be delivered tomorrow.  Looks like I'm set now

I went to see my 5 month old nephew yesterday and I activated live photos, this is really cool!

I got some great photos but adding the short video to them made them absolutely amazing!

I thought this "feature" was a bit naff, but it is actually quite cool.

I saw an ad the other day for an app that can turn them into animated GIF files. Must check it out.

Lively looks like a good one. Free for a test of a few images, and then USD 1.99 if you want to continue using it.
