aimsy007: I have been following this thread for ages. Can someone please try and clarify for me where I 'might' be able to get an iPhone 4 as of tomorrow?

Somewhere.

caldazar: Surprised Telecom haven't done anything with this... their marketing people must be asleep at the wheel.

or they are eating popcorn watching this thread ;)

By the time someone thinks up an idea, finds the free time on everyones calender, books a meeting room, has the meeting and gets the minutes typed up, forwards it to legal, back to marketing ... you're looking a 7 day turn around.

Big companies = big wheels to turn, VF's been demonstrating this all week!

I have spoken to numerous places today (I have friends in high places) and I found out that Magnum Mac in Albany doesn't have any iPhones, Vodafone Queen Street are supposed to be selling them but hadnt received them yet.

So it looks like the shipment has been missed, that, OR only about 4 stores in Auckland will have them.

Well I just went past the VF store on Colombo St and Magnum Mac store on Moorhouse Ave. Neither store shows any signs of the pending release.

Which is a odds with last weeks iPad release, which was set up the night before at the Magnum Mac store.

Well, Telecom should have planned their moves weeks ago... waited for today and then picked the best plan to take advantage of the situation.

Obviously they couldn't predict today exactly.. but they could have had a massive campaign ready to target iphone resigns...

Just had to throw this out there: MagnumMac are the biggest pack of no hopers ever to have anything even slightly (including John Sculley) to do with Apple. I wouldn't buy from them if my life (or iPhone 4) depended on it.

Meanwhile... WTF Vodafone, can someone just release some information already?...

They already released their intentions at around 4/5pm today?

I went into there Newmarket store the other day to ask about Apple TV in detail... The dude walked over to a display Mac, typed in apple.com and just read from the tech specs. Such a crap effort.

The ship carrying the iPhone 4 as hijacked by pirates en route from China, which means that NZ won't have any stock for months.

Edit: I heard this from an extremely reliable source. As you can see to the left, I'm a trusted user, which makes this post completely true.
