webup: Someone please recap whats happened so I dont have to trawl?

Apple have bent vodafone over at the last minute and sha**ed them, at least that is what is seems.

VF are not going to be selling the iphone at launch, it is unclear if they will be able to sell it down the line.

Iphone 4 will still be available at resellers and online via apple.

All I can say is why didn't apple use a conventional SHIP rather than this new fangled chip!!!

Dude you need to wait for the 15 minute edit limit to expire or at least quote the post before you can poke fun at a typoWink.

munchkin: The ship carrying the iPhone 4 as hijacked by pirates en route from China, which means that NZ won't have any stock for months.

Edit: I heard this from an extremely reliable source. As you can see to the left, I'm a trusted user, which makes this post completely true.

This reliable source has also confirmed that the pirates have peg legs.

FYI, If you think I'm making this up, my source also informs the NZ Herald.

I just hope all this is hype and VF do have it in store tomorrow. I sold my 32gb 3gs yesterday and am currently iPhoneless for the first time since the 3g came out.

scotteffone:
ciaocibai: Just had to throw this out there: MagnumMac are the biggest pack of no hopers ever to have anything even slightly (including John Sculley) to do with Apple. I wouldn't buy from them if my life (or iPhone 4) depended on it.

Meanwhile... WTF Vodafone, can someone just release some information already?...

I went into there Newmarket store the other day to ask about Apple TV in detail... The dude walked over to a display Mac, typed in apple.com and just read from the tech specs. Such a crap effort.

Indeed, those guys wouldn't know what poop was if it hit them in the face. Honestly, by far the most incompetent retail and service staff I have ever had to deal with. Luckily calls to Apples service centres generally solves everything, but seeing as Magnum Mac are supposed to be the primary reseller and service centre for Apple in NZ, it's pretty bloody unbelievable.

Did you ever see this post: http://crypt.soapbox.co.nz/2005/09/magnum-mac? It's pretty much what I think of them too...

Come to think of it, the whole iPhone 4 debacle is probably their fault too... I'll blame them for the time being anyway.

General consensus on likely time of "go-live" on the Apple Store? Midnight tonight or more like 8am tomorrow morning?
