but now I cannot connect to my home wifi.. asks for the pwd and says cant connect. I swear I'm getting the pwd right.

you can always go turn off wa or wep on yr router temp just to see of it connects ok

My wifi went weird... so I bounced my router and what do ya know it works... in fact I've just realised my laptop is jamming it up from time to time.

But yay 2.1 love it

You can change your tag line now from 1.1.3 to 2.1

winpwn is out, but there has never been an unlock for 3g iphones, only a jailbreak. unlikely there will be an unlock either. 1st gen is full unlock and jailbreak though.

Really, I just went to the winpwn site and they still only support =<2.0.2. If you have a link to winpwn 3 let me know.

Arnt the 3g iphones sold in nz unlocked any way? by unlocked you can use any sim card from any network in them? or is unlocking iphone mean somthing else?

We're talking about jailbreaking, not unlocking. Jailbreaking modifies a section of the firmwares base code that checks if apps are signed or not. So basically, jailbreaking allows you to run a huge amount of unnoficial apps that are not allowed in the app store (emulators, system tweaks, Quake, etc.)
