huinz: I ordered my iphone 5 thru vodafone on the 9th of october on the smart $45 1 month term plan, i originally ordered my iphone 5 thru apple and my estimated delivery was 5th nov.

Iphone arrived today! so happy with it!!

Its a brilliant device and I hope everyone gets theres as soon as possible :)

Ohh and thanks to the person who directed me towards the 1 month term option for iphone 5 on the vodafone site, I owe them one

Woohoo! Think it was me :)

The irony is that mine hasn't arrived yet, damn. Which model did you order? Mine's a 32GB Black.

I ordered the black 16gb, they said that black 16 was the most popular one haha

It's well worth the wait tho :p

I am just wondering if other people on this forum are beginning to wonder if the wait is actually worth it. Its funny how you can buy a house or new car in less time than it takes to get an iPhone 5.

Personally I think Apple has really dropped the ball with stock levels and perhaps should have delayed the announcement by 2-3 weeks to improve stock.

If my order hasn't shipped by Friday I will be cancelling my order and sticking with my trusty Nokia

To be fair, there is plenty of stock around, it's just that the Telco's don't want to sell outright. When my staff member bought his on the weekend (at Vodafone, on a $45 x 24 month contract) they had plenty of stock of every model except the 16GB white, which they had sold out of.

Personally I'm okay with waiting a month in order to stick with my old contract and its generous data allowance. If loosing my old contract wasn't an issue I could get one today.

Apparently, there are heaps in stock for corporate customers, got mine 2 weeks ago and one of our other staff members ordered his today (32gb black) and will have it tomorrow. We are with Telecom.On the side absolutely rapped with mine, practically the camera big step from the 4s!!!

I think this is likely the biggest smartphone launch of all time in terms of numbers - so I wouldn't be second guessing Tim Cook's supply chain management!

How would you fulfil orders any quicker if you had 5 million people all wanting the device right now?

I've ordered from both Vodafone and Apple and whichever one gets here first I'll keep, and sell the second one. Sucks that some people got their Vodafone orders already (having ordered after me) but that's the luck of the draw I guess. Fingers crossed Vodafone get their stock replenished late this week/early next week.

I can't get on a contract as I am already on a contract with a Galaxy S3 and our corporate account is with Telstra who don't sell the iPhone.
