Brunzy: Pre order from 7.01pm 9th
Not sure how I missed that. Thanks.
Brunzy:
Any idea what price NZD is the 128G 7?
Went into the Apple Store earlier, $749 USD , which should be around
$1k NZD atm
Or around $1260 NZD with GST ( and SF sales tax)
I'm over in sydney the week after they are released there, might have to go and have a look at the apple store when I am there. Works out to be a bit cheaper plus I can get the GST back when leaving.

Not by much thou,
Standard 7 in OZ is AUD $1079 - less 10% GST is AUD$980, at .95 (bank sell rate) thats NZD $1032, add 15% GST and you get $1187-
NZ retail is $1199.....

Presumably you would not be adding the GST when you arrive here though?
I purchased the 6S+ brand new in Aus last year and got the 10% GST back, but didn't pay GST on entry to NZ so it def worked out cheaper. I didn't import it as new because I'd already opened the box and used it so I didn't think I needed to declare it.

Why not, its over the $700 dollar personal goods concession limit.....

The Question on the customs form is
Are you bringing into New Zealand:
"Goods obtained overseas and/or purchased duty-free in New Zealand: with a total value of more than NZ$700 (including gifts)?"
Whether the goods are new or in the original box is totally moot.....
OneDay are at it again.
Selling iPhone6S 16GB for $979.99 on Apple launch day, looking to rip off punters.
Shame on them.

Well one might get lucky and get through without having to pay it, but still best to factor it in as extra to highlight the (potential) total cost.

If it's in your pocket and you're using it who's to say you didn't take it with you?? It's not the 1980s any more..

My impression of this is pretty much an iPhone 6s version 2. The other thing is unless Apple are leaking the details on this phone intentionally as a form of marketing, they have some major security problems with leaks, because almost all of the features of this phone including the look was already known. So there are no real surprises. The big feature is its speed upgrade, like with normal s models. But the elephant in the room is the old gen LCD screen they are using. It is using the newer technology, but it isn't using OLED. Apparently they are putting that into next years model. But as a result, the iPhone 7 has thick bezels compared to the other flagship phones. I noticed though that there are very few photos showing the front of it, and those that do, show it with a black screen, so you don't see the bezel. It is a nice phone though, but I would wait until the iPhone 8, X, AE, 10 or whatever they will call it, to get the newer gen screen and thinner / edge sides
Also if they are getting rid of wired headphones, why include wired headphones, rather than wireless headphones, and then only include one lightning port, so you can't listen while charging.
I hope none of the other manufacturers follow apple and decide to omit the audio jack. I suspect apple did it partly because it is a control thing, and they don't like generic ports on their products. They would far rather have the control of proprietary parts. This is why I suspect they included lightning headphones, and not headphones with a 3.5 plug, which can then be used with the adapter. They don't want their headphones being used on other brands of product. I just wonder if the remote on the old apple headphones, will work with the lightning adapter on this new phone..
