You could get in contact with the guys at www.mob.co.nz. They are in Auckland and they unlock for $69.00. I would do it for you but unfortunately I am in Christchurch, unless you want to send it to me. I understand why you wouldn't want to, I wouldn't send mine to a stranger, but the offer is there if you are completely stuck.

I am not sure what is causing it to not work. You may want to try and follow the instructions from iClarified for downgrading from 2.0

if you look around on trademe at some people that sell phones, they sometimes offer an unlocking service that they will do while you wait, for a small price.

I was conned, I brought a GHD pure off www.1-store.co.nz, I asked so many questions before biting the bullet and buying it, making sure they were authentic. Recieved a week later,. drop shipped from china, declaration on the parcel said it was shoes. And it was the worst fake possible. Spelling mistakes on the actual ghd, the dvd was so scratched it wouldn't even work in the dvd player. I emailed them, and they said they would look into it and get back to me. They had on the website, money back gaurantee, so I sent them photos of everything so they coul see them selves and asked for my money back and an address to return the fake, no reply, now I see they have had there website suspended, so hopefully will stop anyone else being conned. When I researched i store, you will see the websites themselves were being sold to people, and people brought them, saw the returns they should have been getting but they never recieved any payments from them, so were ripped off there too. I would steer clear. Im holding out hope that I will get my money back, and some more research I did came up with an address and phone number, which I will be ringing if I don't get any reply to emails it is

I believe they refunded me $120, not the full $197 I paid, so still very short changed especially as I paid postage twice, once to get it here once to return it, so out of pocket $94, I sent 20 or so emails yesterday, no reply.
